Eagle Scout project creates safe exchange points

There’s a new way for parents to hand off children in custody exchanges or when meeting a stranger for an online marketplace meetup. It’s all because of an Eagle Scouts project. Eyewitness News said Ethan Cavender completed the project as a part of the process in becoming an Eagle Scout. The Safe Exchange Points at both the St. Albans police department and fire station are under 24/7 video surveillance.
Cavender said his hope is for other cities to create Safe Exchange Points as well.
