A child died Friday morning after they were struck by a vehicle while walking to a bus stop in Logan County. It happened just before 7 a.m. in the West Logan area, according to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office. The driver of the vehicle told deputies they were turning onto Route 10 and were unable to see the boy walking along the roadway. The Logan County Sheriff’s Office told the 12-year-old was a student at Logan Middle School, which immediately offered counselors and said they’ll be available as long as necesssary. The incident remains under investigation.
