A woman already in prison for a multi-million dollar Ponzi scheme has been reindicted in the murder of her husband. Raleigh County Prosecuting Attorney Ben Hatfield announced this week that the indictment for murder had returned this week, after being dropped last year. Natalie Cochran was reindicted on a murder charge in the death of her husband Michael Cochran. Hatfield dropped the charge against Cochran earlier this year while Michael’s body was exhumed for advanced testing. Results showed he died because nonprescribed insulin and the death was ruled a homicide. Natalie Cochran is also currently serving an 11-year federal sentence for operating a multimillion-dollar Ponzi scheme from June 2017 through at least August 2019.
