Dustin Young is facing charges for a crime spree in Nicholas County that killed a firefighter and critically injured a woman. A new charge of murder was added to the charges that Young is already facing for the incident that happened on October 15. West Virginia State Police said Young crashed his car on Route 41 in Nicholas County and then stole another car from a driver who stopped to help. Young is accused of driving that car to a nearby home and assaulting a female resident with a hammer, because court records said she allegedly sold him “bad dope.” As Young was fleeing toward Summersville he got into an accident that killed the male driver, later identified as Nettie firefighter, Brody Hanna. Young will stay in jail with no bond, and he’s waived his preliminary hearing .
