A toy driving is honoring the late Judge Joanna Tabit. She often gave gifts to children in her courtroom to calm their nerves, and now the Kanawha County Courthouse is honoring her memory collecting toys through Nov. 30. Those looking to donate during that time can do so at the donation barrel in the front lobby of the Kanawha County Judicial Building in Charleston. The Kanawha County Commission siad donated items will be distributed to children of various ages in the courthouse. Monetary donations are also accepted at the Court Administrator Office.
