The first phase of a memorial has been dedicated in Mason County. A ceremony on Veteran’s Day served as a dedication of the first phase of construction for the new Mason County Veterans Memorial. The first three pieces of the monuments were unveiled at the ceremony, listing the names of those killed in action or are still missing. When it’s finished, the memorial will also list the names of all honorably discharged Mason County veterans. A dedication for the next phase will happen on Memorial Day weekend, 2024.
