Cabell County 911 adds a therapy dog

A four-legged worker has been added to the staff at Cabell County 911. A therapy dog named Ember joined the staff this week. A social media post said the 5-year-old Labrador comes from K9s for Warriors, a nonprofit based in Jacksonville, Florida. She is West Virginia’s first officially certified 911 therapy dog and has been trained to support dispatchers and first responders. You may see her at public events.
