Drivers on I-64 in Huntington will notice a traffic shift

Traffic has shifted on parts of I-64 in Cabell County. The West Virginia Division of Highways said work is happening in two areas of the interstate, near the Merritt’s Creek Exit and near East Mall Road. With the traffic shift, there was some confusion over which lanes drivers needed to be in to exit, but new signs were eventually put in to guide them. Drivers on I-64 East who need to exit toward Merritt’s Creek, Barboursville or the Huntington Mall will need to get into the right lane before they reach Exit 15 at 29th Street. The next exit is in Milton.
