Putnam County Commission sued over Frazier’s Bottom development

The Putnam County Commission is facing a lawsuit. The court documents were filed on February 8 on behalf of residents of Fraziers Bottom who don’t want the area to be classified as a C-2 high-density commercial district. The rezoning status would allow businesses like movie theaters, hotels, and hospitals to build and neighbors want to preserve the peace and quiet of the area. The county commission approved the move to boost the local economy and create jobs. The three plaintiffs in the lawsuit are surrounding property owners in the area.
