The U.S. Postal Service decided this week tto transition a facility in South Charleston to a local processing center, investing $22.8 million. Outgoing operations will be moved to Pittsburgh and Warrendale, Pennsylvania. Both West Virginia Senators Joe Manchin (D) and Shelley Moore Capito (R) expressed disappointment with the news, with Manchin calling it a “slap in the face” after much time was spent working to keep the status quo. Capito said in part, there are still many unanswered questions for USPS about their final decision.
