Charges have been dropped against Lincoln County Clerk Kristy Scraggs over an incident where after a child wandered off from daycare that she co-owned in October 2023. Scraggs, Haroldene Keener and two employees faced child neglect charges after a child left the Miles of Smiles Kidz Daycare grounds and went toward a gas station. One employee at the daycare still faces charges. The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office disagreed with the Lincoln County Prosecutor’s Office about the charges being dropped.
