Goodman is sentenced for 2021 deaths of two Charleston women

A Detroit man was sentenced to prison Monday in the 2021 shooting deaths of two women on Charleston’s West Side. 24-year old Marquise Goodman was sentenced to 80 years in prison for the deaths of Kytiana Belcher and Bria White.
The two women were found shot to death along Hunt Avenue in 2021. Goodman was captured in Detroit six days after the shooting and extradited back to West Virginia.Goodman, who pleaded guilty in February, apologized on Monday to the victims’ families. He’ll be credited with 860 days already served as part of the sentence.
