Kanawha County prosecuter announces retirement

Kanawha County Prosecuting Attorney Charles “Chuck” Miller has announced his retirement from the office. In a letter sent to the Kanawha County Commission on Friday, Miller said, “After considerable thought and reflection, I have decided to retire from the position of Kanawha County Prosecuting Attorney, effective 5:00 p.m., June 13, 2024.” Miller, a Republican, was elected to the position in 2016. He is also a former U.S. attorney for the Southern District of West Virginia. The County Commission will announce a permanent replacement at a June 13th meeting.
