A Logan County doctor is accused of distributing drugs beyond the normal scope of his medical practice. Brian McDevitt practiced in Chapmanville and was indicted by a Charleston grand jury on three counts of intentionally distributing Clonazapam, also known as Klonopin, outside the scope of his medical practice and “not for a legitimate medical purpose,” according to U.S. District Court documents. The alleged incidents occurred in May, June and July of 2023.
