Tuition increases are approved at WVU

West Virginia University officials approved a financial plan Friday for the 2025 fiscal year that will raise tuition and fees for students. The WVU’s Board of Governors’ plan includes a $228 per semester tuition and fees increase for undergraduates and $624 hike for non-residents, according to a news release from the university.
Resident graduate students will see a $252 increase per semester increase while tuition and fees for non-residents will rise by $639. University officials said financial aid will grow proportionately to help offset increases. The next Board of Governors meeting is scheduled for Sept. 20.
