Super Load to impact traffic next week in Ohio

The last of the extra-large super loads, weighing over 900,000 pounds, is set to travel across central Ohio. This extra-large super load is carrying an air processor (known as a “cold box”) used in the silicon chip manufacturing process. The load measures approximately 23’ feet tall, 20 feet wide and 280 feet long. Starting on Wednesday, Aug. 7, the load will move through West Portsmouth, Lucasville, Chillicothe, Rickenbacker, Pickerington, and Pataskala before reaching its destination on Tuesday, Aug. 13. Traffic will mainly be impacted for those heading to the Ross County Fair and Scioto County Fair. There are still 9 regular-sized super loads expected to travel to the new Intel facility Licking County.
