The Hope Scholarship Act was passed by the West Virginia State Legislature in 2021. As of July 1, the state law requirements were met to open up the Hope Scholarship to all students, including those who are currently enrolled in homeschool or private school in the 2026-2027 school year. The amount for each Hope Scholarship recipient is also increasing from $4,488.82 to $4,921.39 for the 2024-2025 school year.
