Grant funds awarded to help domestic violence victims

Gov. Jim Justice recently announced that he has awarded $1.2 million in STOP Violence Against Women program grant funds to 21 projects across West Virginia.The grants provide personnel, equipment, training, technical assistance, and information systems for the establishment or enhancement of teams that serve domestic violence victims. Among the grant recipients: The West Virginia Coalition Against Domestic Violence, the Putnam County Commission, Logan County Commission, Hope Inc. and the West Virginia Prosecuting Attorneys Institute.
