Putnam County Disc Golf shop will help special needs kids play at an upcoming event

Maddog Disc Shop in Hurricane, run by 11-year-old Maddox Wright, is hosting “Putting the Pieces Together,” a disc golf tournament and family night to benefit Community Autism Resources and Education Systems. C.A.R.E.S. will utilize proceeds from entry fees, raffles and donations to further their mission of improving the lives of West Virginia children with autism. On Friday, Sept. 6, a family night will be held at Hurricane’s Bridge Park, allowing special needs kids the chance to experience disc golf. On Saturday, a PDGA-sanctioned tournament will be held at Bridge Park and Valley Park in Hurricane to raise money for C.A.R.E.S.
