Gov. Jim Justice announced last week.during the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Meeting and Business Summit, said Prime 6, a company that manufactures wood-based charcoal alternatives, plans to invest $35 million to create a manufacturing facility in Upshur County. Prime 6’s new facility is set to begin operations in the coming months, with 75 job openings to be announced soon. The company’s presence in Buckhannon is expected to have a positive ripple effect throughout the local economy, benefiting suppliers, businesses and residents. Prime 6 is known for its unique approach to upcycling wood waste, creating high-quality products for the hospitality industry. All of the company’s products are USDA certified.
