St. Albans is a step closer to having an outdoor drinking area

St. Albans will become the latest city with a private outdoor designated area. The city council met this week and decided to move forward with a PODA area for Main Street. Leaders still need to outline the PODA and decide which establishments will participate. Eyewitness News said, while city leaders discussed the economic benefits the move would bring to St. Albans, concerns over liability issues forced the motion to a second reading. Charleston and Huntington have gradually expanded outdoor drinking areas since their inception.
