Logan County 911 dispatchers honored paramedic Kori White’s 15 years of service recently. She was a first responder to Logan, Lincoln, Boone and Kanawha counties over the years and worked as a paramedic for the Kanawha County Emergency Ambulance Authority. She died in early August. During the last call, dispatchers read a poem in her memory. White’s death placed emphasis on the mental wellbeing of first responders with Kanawha County police officers, firefighters and EMS undergoing critical stress management training.
