A solution is in the works in Wayne County that could solve the ambulance crisis there. The Wayne County Commission and a subsidiary of HealthNet Aeromedical Services are in the process of putting together an agreement that would pay $12,500 per month for the medical group to run ambulance services. HealthTeam Critical Care Transport would be in charge of running ambulances. Voters approved an excess levy in May that will fund two Wayne County ambulances that will be staffed around the clock. The agreement is being finalized now.
