Greenbrier Hotel to be auctioned at the end of the month

The Greenbrier Hotel has been announced for auction once again. A legal advertisement placed in West Virginia Daily News is calling for an auction of the hotel on the courthouse steps in Lewisburg at 2 p.m. on Oct. 25 due to default on a loan. In August, an auction was announced following the default of a loan originally for $142 million from JPMorgan. That loan was sold to Beltway Capital who then declared it in default and attempted the foreclosure sale. That sale was stopped after The Greenbrier Hotel Corporation reached an agreement with Beltway Capital to have the loan paid in full to Beltway Capital by Oct. 24. The statement said Beltway Capital reserved the rights to foreclosure if the deal fell through.
