The John Brawley Post 20 of the American Legion will host the annual Veterans Day parade and ceremony on Monday, November 11, rain or shine. The parade will step off at 11 a.m. followed by a short ceremony at Haddad Riverfront Park. Post 20 has asked that anyone interested in participating in the parade assemble on Kanawha Boulevard, between Capitol Street and Morris Street (heading West). All units should arrive by 9:30 .m. and be in formation by 10:30 a.m., ready to step off at 11 am According to a news release from the city, the procession will head west, moving along Capital, Quarrier and Court streets before exiting on the boulevard. Kanawha Boulevard will be closed from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. from Clendenin Street to Morris Street.
