Students who will attend the new Milton Elementary School will get three extra days of winter break to allow staff enough time to move into the new building. According to an email from Cabell County Schools, the last day for students at Milton Elementary will be Wednesday, December 18, 2024 and they will return on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. School officials said the extra days will give teachers time to move their things and set up their new classrooms. Winter break for all other schools in Cabell County will be from December 23, 2024 until January 6, 2025. There will be an open house for parents and students to see the new school on Tuesday, December 17th from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m..
