The University of Charleston Stadium at Laidley Field will host the upcoming state high school football championships. Since the track state championships, work has continued at Laidley to upgrade the locker rooms. They also added railings, enclosed the press box and have now added a giant video screen that will be able to show the games and replays for the fans who attend in December. The first playoff games are happening today after court injunctions delayed their start, and championship weekend will be December 6 and 7.
