For several years, Milton, has had issues with their water. Shane Evans was so fed up with it, he decided to run for mayor. Said Evans, “That’s why most of the new council ran. Just to help because they’re tired of it too,” Evans added “And most of the reason is because of the water.” Citizens have been frustrated due to brown, murky water that’s been coming out of their faucets and shower heads, but when they voice their concerns, no one has answered. The water lines in Milton have been a contributing factor to the issue because of their age and condition. A new $6 million grant that the city received could help them fix those older lines according to city council-elect Scott Foster. Foster relates to the many citizens who are frustrated with the water conditions, as he also has issues at his own home.
