A trip on the West Virginia Turnpike now costs more. As of Jan. 1, passenger cars, pickup trucks, motorcycles and small passenger vans will pay a $4.25 fee at each of the turnpike’s three mainline toll booths, according to the West Virginia Parkways Authority. Truck drivers will pay between $6.75 and $25.25 depending on size. A hike of 5% was scheduled over the summer and parkways officials then announced drivers would have the option to use credit cards along the roadway in 2025. Turnpike users may utilize an E-Z Pass to get a discount and expedite travel plans. Two travel plazas along the turnpike were completed in 2024 at the cost of $122 million.
