There is a constant state of traffic congestion in the lot at the Pilot Travel Center in Nitro making it almost impossible for drivers unable to turn around. This not only affects truck drivers and travelers, but locals making their daily commutes. Putnam County Sheriff Bobby Eggleton said he’s talked with locals who want to see a change, and now, a possible solution has been introduced, added Eggleton “There’ll be a sign up on the interstate and it will say that the traffic is congested and it tells the drivers that they can’t get into the Pilot station. They’ll be held back, and we’re hoping that that will try to curb some of the problems there,” Eggleton said the congestion has gotten worse as the roads continue to get busier.
