Accidental shooting in November leads to charges

A Kanawha County man has been criminally charged in an accidental shooting.
Henon Wesley Snodgrass has been charged with two counts of being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm, according to a news release from the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office. 32-year-old James Wesley Brogan accidentally shot himself in the leg at a home along Cone Run Road on Nov. 11. Investigators searched a trailer belonging to Snodgrass and reported finding four guns and more than 100 rounds of ammunition. Previous felony convictions prohibit the two men from legally owning firearms. Brogan was arrested on charges of wanton endangerment and being a felon in possession of a firearm. Snodgrass is being lodged at South Central Regional Jail on a $5,000 cash/surety bond.
