A man accused of kidnapping his wife has been booked into Western Regional Jail. Derek Orme is accused of firing multiple shots into the engine block of a his wife’s vehicle before forcing her out at gunpoint and into his truck on Tuesday. She was found safe at a home in Grayson, Kentucky. West Virginia State Police said Orme was taken into custody Thursday after he was spotted by a Cabell County deputy who was patrolling Harvey Road near his home. Orme is charged with three counts of wanton endangerment, kidnapping, destruction of property and shooting within 500 feet of a dwelling, according to a criminal complaint filed in Cabell County Magistrate Court.
