Couple found unresponsive with a child in the car

A Kanawha County couple were arrested and charged with child neglect on Friday after they were discovered in their vehicle asleep with drug paraphernalia while their child with them. Deputies were called to the Go-Mart gas station on the 200 block of West Main Street in St. Albans where they were told a white SUV had been sitting in the parking lot for nearly two hours. They discovered Jordan Loudin and Amy Briers of South Charleston, in the driver and passenger seats while an infant was in backseat. Eyewitness News reported that Loudin and Briers admitted to using heroin. Both were charged with child neglect creating risk of injury and are being held at South Central Regional Jail on a $15,000 bond.
