The Public Service Commission announced Thursday that Appalachian Power and Wheeling Power will both undergo reliability audits. This comes at the request of the two companies in response to complaints and reports of outages and unreliable service. Those who live on Duncan Fork in the Myrtle and Delbarton areas of Mingo County are especially impacted, experiencing outages weekly. The outages first began about five years ago but have gotten worse in the last year-and-a-half all while bills continue to go up, saying “We’re tired of it. We’re tired of living this way”
