State Police welcome tips in cold case archives

West Virginia State Police have a list of cold cases that they’re working on and they invite the public to look through the archives and submit tips. Jerry Lee Cushey, who was 30 at the time, has been missing from Monongalia County since 2001. Several land and water searches were carried out, but no conclusive evidence was found regarding his disappearance. Another cold case involves the 1980 murder of Clarence Riffle, a 76-year old retired coal miner in Elkins. Money and a gun were taken from his home.
