The countywide ambulance service, Wayne County EMS, is expected to launch on Sunday.The county partnered with HealthNet Aeromedical Services to launch the service after county voters narrowly passed a public services levy to help fund it. They’re putting the finishing touches on training and schedules now and they’ll launch the service on June 22. The county ambulances will take the place of the JanCare ones and they’ll operate out of the same location. Eyewitness News said the ambulances will be unveiled in a celebration on Friday, June 20 at 11:00 a.m. in the Wayne County Courthouse parking lot.
