For the second year in a row, William Simmons took home the hot dog eating crown at the Charleston Sternwheel Regatta. Eyewitness News said Simmons gobbled down 15 hot dogs in 10 minutes, just short of his record of 19 from 2024. He hasn’t decided whether he will attempt to defend his title for a third year or step away from the contest in 2026.
