One man faces charges after a shooting outside a Charleston bar

A man has been charged in a shooting outside a downtown Charleston sports bar Monday night that left another man in critical condition. Eyewitness News said 26-year old Nigel Hampton of Charleston has been charged with malicious wounding after the shooting in the 200 block of Capitol Street near Adelphia Sports Bar. Charleston Police said 21-year old Jacques Weldon of Charleston was shot in the abdomen and was listed in critical condition. Witnesses told police the two men had gotten into an argument over music inside the sports bar and the fight continued outside. Hampton is being held on a $250,000 bond.
