Two face charges after deputies are injured chasing a suspect

Two arrests have been made following an incident Monday night that left two Kanawha County deputies injured while trying to serve a warrant. Timothy Belcher Sr., of Hico has been arrested on outstanding felony warrants for burglary, grand larceny and conspiracy. The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office said the arrest came after an incident in the Cedar Grove area where deputies tried to arrest Belcher when he ran into the woods. Two deputies suffered leg injuries going after him. Eyewitness News said fire rescue members had to extricate the two deputies, who were taken to hospitals for treatment. One deputy suffered a broken leg and needed surgery. Belcher is being held on a $25,000 bond. A second person, Siarra Foster, was also arrested for her alleged involvement.
