West Virginia State Treasurer Larry Pack visited the University of Charleston recently, and presented a sizeable unclaimed property check to UC President Marty Roth. The check, valued at more than $28,000 in unclaimed property funds were located during a search of the State Treasurer’s Office Unclaimed Property online database. The money came from insurance proceeds and miscellaneous checks. UC said on its website that it will use the funds to help enhance the student experience at UC.
