Marshall will host the state baseball championships next year

The West Virginia state high school baseball championships will have a new home beginning in 2026. The West Virginia Secondary School Activities Commission announced Monday that Jack Cook Field, on the campus of Marshall University, will serve as the host site for the championships from 2026 through 2028 with an option for 2029. WCHS TV said the City of Huntington and Marshall were awarded the championships following a statewide bid process. The selection was finalized through a vote of the WVSSAC board of directors. The 2026 State Baseball Tournament will be held June 6-13.
