Kanawha County school leaders say student test scores are on the rise.
During a special Board of Education meeting Monday, officials reported higher SAT scores across the county, following a dip in 2024 when the test moved to a digital format.
New strategies like SAT Bootcamps, calculator training, and expanded prep tools helped boost performance — including a 30-point jump at Riverside High.
Math and English proficiency also improved countywide.
