The Kanawha Valley Regional Transportation Authority is expanding its on-demand ride service, KRT Plus, to more parts of the Charleston area. Riders in Southridge, Kanawha City, and South Charleston can now book trips through the app or by phone.
KRT says the expansion also replaces the Route 13 Beech Avenue and Route 15 South Hills bus lines with on-demand service. The goal is to make it easier for people farther from fixed routes to connect to the main bus system.
KRT Plus runs Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., offering flexible, door-to-door transportation across six zones.
