A Summers County man has been arrested after deputies say he was running a drug lab out of his home in Hinton. Investigators say Douglas Scott “Scott” Berkshire was making psychedelic mushrooms and DMT, after a tip from an informant led to a search warrant. Deputies say Berkshire admitted to making and distributing the drugs, and a large lab was found inside his home. He’s charged with operating a clandestine drug lab, manufacturing, and possession of controlled substances, and is being held on a $76,000 bond.
