The West Virginia Public Employees Insurance Agency has put out the board’s financial proposal for the next year, which includes a 3% premium increase and an average family tier spousal surcharge increase of $200. A 14% increase went into effect over the summer. Eyewitness News reported the plan would not take effect until July 1, 2026. Several public hearings on the proposed increase have been set throughout the state:
