The team took the field wearing special shirts honoring Lipscomb, a miner remembered for protecting his crew. Fans observed a moment of silence, followed by the school’s marching band performing Amazing Grace. Students and families have been rallying around Lipscomb’s loved ones, with players purchasing the shirts to support the family.
