State officials are collecting photos of first responders and military personnel to display on Honor Trees at the West Virginia State Capitol Complex. Two trees will be set up outside the Governor’s Reception Room, and a third will be decorated by Gold Star mothers. Families can submit photocopies by email or by mail to the Governor’s Mansion, but originals will not be returned. The deadline to send in photos is December first. The Honor Trees are part of the state’s annual holiday tradition recognizing those who serve.
