West Virginia University recognized 12-hundred graduates during last weekend’s commencement. The university is also seeing record high applications and enrollment.
WVU officials say more than 6,000 families have already completed the FAFSA, giving students earlier clarity on financial aid and helping with recruitment. Retention rates are also improving, with first-generation student retention up to 78.6 percent and overall Morgantown campus retention at 85.1 percent.
The university continues to boost recruiting efforts, including campus visits, outreach to high schools, and social media campaigns.
