A Jackson County, W.Va., man has been charged in a shooting investigation.Phillip Goodwin, 24, of Ripley is accused of shooting another man in the back with a .45 caliber handgun, according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office. He has been charged with malicious wounding. Deputies said the alleged victim in the shooting is currently in the hospital. No details were provided on his condition.The sheriff’s office said Goodwin was arrested following a joint investigation with the Ripley Police Department. The investigation is ongoing.
