One of West Virginia’s most well-known restaurants is set to reopen after closing last year. Hellbender Burritos in Davis announced on social media that the restaurant will reopen under new ownership.
The popular Tucker County spot abruptly closed in March of 2025 after nearly 18 years in business, with the former owners citing the toll of running a high-demand, made-from-scratch restaurant in a busy tourist area near Canaan Valley and Blackwater Falls.
No reopening date has been announced under the new ownership.
